Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci, (born November 12th, 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej (now Onesti] Romania) Romanian gymnast who was the first gymnast to be awarded a perfect score of 10 in an Olympic event. Bela Karalyi was introduced to Comaneci at age six. She would later become the coach for Romania's gymnastics. Her first competition was at the national junior championships 1969 where she placed 13th. She was the winner in 1970. Her first competition in the international arena was in 1972, which was a pre Olympic junior event for countries of the communist bloc she took home three golds and in 1973 and 1974 she was an all-around junior champion. She topped Russian Lyudmila Torishcheva. The five-time European Champion at her first international senior championship in the year 1975. In this event she received four golds, and a silver. She was also the first female to complete reverse double salos using the bar with a parallel unevenness as part of her demount. She won the title at the American Cup, held in New York City. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Her first professional work was in the entertainment industry during her teenage years when she appeared as the figure skating duo of their sister Nina Wayne for the travelling entertainment program Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne was born on the 6th of September 1942 within Chicago Illinois US. Carol started her entertainment career during her teenage years. At the age of a girl she began her journey as an ice skater with Nina Wayne in the travelling entertainment show Ice Capades. These shows included theatrical ice-skating performances.
